Mr. Peabody, also known as Shaggy Flores, is a New Generation Nuyorican Poet and African Diaspora Scholar.

A Marketing and Communications Guru, Shaggy is the author of Sancocho - A Book of Nuyorican Poetry, can be found in The Anthologies Role Call and Bum Rush the Page: A Def Poetry Jam, both edited by Tony Medina [the latter co-edited with Louis Reyes Rivera]. He is one of the founders of the annual Voices for the Voiceless Poetry Concert which occurs in the five college Umass-Amherst area.

Shaggy Flores is also a proud member of the Central Virginia Alumni Chapter (Beta Gamma Omega) of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Incorporated. A graduate from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and from Virginia State University, he holds a Masters in History with a concentration in African Diaspora studies.

He is the founder of Dark Souls Press and Aristotle’s Playground, a web and print design consulting group.
